Christmas Break

Second semester is already upon us and despite all the free time granted me by Christmas Break I am way behind on posting pictures and updating folks back home on my shenanigans!

This is my feeble attempt to partly rectify that mistake.

I had many offers from friends to spend Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and St. Steven's day with them. For my family back home concerned with my 'being alone this Christmas', there was no need to worry. I ate like a king!

I got to spend Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and St. Steven's day with different friends each day and there was much food and drink and rejoicing!
(and fan-girling over the Doctor Who Christmas Special)
the UCC choral society sang carols for charity as well...

Cork around Christmas time is nice--lights everywhere and even a Ferris Wheel!

I also got to go see the new Hobbit movie with friends.UCC's Sci-Fi society bought out the theatre for the day. We got complimentary chocolate and a friend made lambas bread! How freaking cool is that?!

The UCC choral society also sang in our very own Honan Chapel. this place is beautiful. I grabbed a quick pic of the mosaic floor as I walked in. I hope to get some more pictures of it in the future!
 Chocolate. That is all.
This is from Lunch with Gangotri and friends, so cute it hurts!

The UCC choir sang a special concert on the 22nd with John Spillane (a local celebrity here I am told) at the Everyman Palace Theatre. It was difficult to get good pictures, but it was NICE ;)

 om nom nom nom...
Christmas Eve I walked with Francis to Lisa's new house for a lunch/dinner affair. This was the view walking along the river. It was warm enough to be late spring in Chicago. I am not sure what to think of this. It doesn't feel like winter or Christmas without snow and family...
Overall, I'd say Christmastime was a huge success! Thank you to all of my friends in Cork and abroad who made me feel at home!
