OMG picture overload!
Here's what I've been up to these past few weeks!
Halloween was fun...I went to Panda's Samhain Shindig!
I did makeup for Ciara and myself! My costume was originally the Doctor (from Doctor Who) because I had the suit and the sonic screwdriver... for the face paint I made up a story saying the vashta narada got me! |
I just really wanted to play with the face paint! |
costumes were mandatory for the party |
I see what you did there... |
you should have seen it: 6 people, 2 couches, 1 endless line of crafting! There was knitting, crochet, and nalbinding. |
Victor brought his equipment and made balloons for everyone! I got a giraffe, Tamara got a balloon figure of herself... |
I named it Gigi. She is now guarding the T.V. right now in the kitchen |
Dieuwka got an elephant (holding a peanut)on top of a ball with another ball inside it! |
Panda got a panda, how appropriate! |
I actually didn't go to the ball on Halloween because I went to go see the new Thor movie... but others took pictures--looks fun! left = big sister from Bio shock. Right = The Spine from Steam Powered Giraffe |
I decided to go around campus and take pictures of all the statuary I could find. I am sure I am missing some still, but here's what I have...
a horse head I think? |
I think this is a dog-thing? |
Pretty! (I told you my school was Hogwarts!) |
We have an observatory... |
Here are the gloves I made on Halloween! |
They are my first attempt at making anything that was not a scarf | ! |
On my way back home from my flute lesson I saw this. At one point it was a double rainbow! |
This is a view of the city from Sunday's Well Road. When I say my walk to class is all up-hill I am not lying... You can see st. Finbarr's cathedral in the backdrop with the three spires |
The three domes ye see are from the Franciscan Friary I will be posting about soon from another one of my geography class' field-trips! |
The rainbow reached all the way down into the city centre! |
There are so few hills back home that you can't turn around and see something like this everyday. |
Okay, some explanation here. Most times, the sidewalk is spacious--especially in the city centre, but sometimes it just gets thinner and thinner until it is nonresistant. If ye know anything about Irish roads, it's that they are tiny and winding and treacherous. By walking long the side of the road you are taking your life into your own hands! Not to mention the leaves that turn into a black mush which makes it like walking on jell-o someone spread all over the ground... |
view off of the shakey bridge on my way back home. |
view off of the other side of the shakey bridge on my way back home. |
Walking out of class today I saw this--Owls everywhere! |
There were children dressed in robes--probably some after-school program... |
whatever it was, it made my day... |
I now have further proof that my school is Hogwarts and you should be jealous! |
